At Next we have a great opportunity for a Chef to join our catering team at our Head Office in Leicestershire. You will work in a busy kitchen producing high quality food using fresh produce daily. You will work as part of a team and also under your own initiative producing breakfast and lunch for around 350 to 400 covers per day. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 6:45am-2:30pm.

What You'll Take On:

  • Produce high-standard menus on time for service, bringing new ideas, passion, and creative flair to our daily offerings.
  • Ensure all food is produced within EHO food safety guidelines, strictly adhering to recipes and allergen controls.
  • Work across multiple stations on a rota basis and maintain impeccable cleanliness of your work area.
  • Use stock in rotation and report any quality issues directly to the Head Chef.
  • Maintain a proactive and positive approach to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Keep managers and colleagues informed, staying up to date with the latest food trends to keep our menus modern.

What You'll Bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food industry.
  • A recognised catering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) and a current Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills with the ability to keep accurate records.
  • Pro-active, calm under pressure, and able to follow instructions while using your own initiative when needed.
  • A team player who is willing to step up and support the brigade during peak times.
