We are looking for a meticulous Assistant Customs Operations Coordinator to safeguard our international supply chain. Working as part of our busy Finance Customs team, you will become the technical lead for our HMRC reporting obligations, ensuring that every import and export declaration is processed with precision and speed using the Customs duty management system. Furthermore, you will support the team in project-based work, responding to changes in the regulatory and commercial environments.

What You Will Do:- Drive Compliance: Manage the end-to-end declaration process, validating customs codes, VAT, and preferential duty to ensure all legal requirements are fulfilled with precision.
- Technical Classification: Oversee item classification and tariff data maintenance in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee customs warehouse removals and maintain accurate import registers so that every single shipment is accounted for.
- Collaborate and Solve: Act as a key point of contact for colleagues, freight forwarders, and HMRC, resolving queries and providing clear clearance instructions.
- Support Evolution: Contribute to standard operating procedures and support systems testing as our regulatory and business environments evolve.
- Organisation: Individuals with excellent planning skills who can manage their own workload and comfortably meet regulatory and commercial deadlines.
