About The Role: At Next we have an opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our catering team at our Head Office in Leicestershire. Working within our onsite restaurant, you will play a vital role in supporting the business by managing deliveries and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the kitchen. This is a key position that ensures our catering operations run smoothly and safely every day. This is a part time position working 23.75 hours per week Monday‑Friday 8.30am‑1.30pm.
What You’ll Take On:
- Manage deliveries, ensuring everything arrives at the correct temperature and in good condition.
- Store stock safely and efficiently, following stock rotation and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness across the kitchen and restaurant areas.
- Wash kitchen equipment, pots, and pans to a high standard.
- Take responsibility for the dishwashing area, ensuring equipment is sanitised and well‑maintained.
- Manage waste removal and empty bins regularly to keep the environment safe and clear of hazards.
- Complete daily cleaning schedules and laundry tasks to ensure fresh cloths are always available.
- Report any equipment breakages immediately and comply with all safety standards.
- Secure the premises at the end of each shift by locking windows and doors and returning keys to security.
