We are looking for a Fashion In-Store Visual Merchandiser to join our VM Field Team on an 8 month temporary contract, based in and responsible for the following stores: GATESHEAD METRO CENTRE & STOCKTON TEESSIDE PARK.
As an In-Store Visual Merchandiser you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a visually inspiring shopping environment for the NEXT fashion customer. We are looking for someone with a creative eye and the ability to adapt layout guidelines to individual store needs and differing stock packages, whilst maintaining company standards.
Main Tasks- Managing Store Layouts
- To deliver the best visual merchandising standards at all times, in your designated store.
- Adapting the layouts to suit individual store needs and stock package.
- Ensure fixtures/layouts & customer navigation are maintained.
- Analyse space management and best sellers to support layout decisions.
- Supporting store compliance reports. Daily New Lines, Range Plans etc.
- Ensuring stock rotation and replenishment to maximise sales.
- To maintain a safe working environment for customers and colleagues by complying to store H&S guidelines.
- Working alongside & forging good working relationships with the in-store staff & managers.
- Agreeing priorities on a regular basis with Regional VM and Store Managers.
- Feeding back phase/stock issues to line managers and the mock shop teams.
- Controlling, managing and ordering marketing and display items where necessary.
- Attend Head Office monthly for phase change updates to be communicated.
- To have a genuine flare and interest in visual merchandising/display, with a proven track record.
- A personal drive, motivation and resilience.
- Good analytical, planning and time management skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and react in fast moving environments.
- Be able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
- The ability to work on your own initiative, independently or as part of a group.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Can perform general manual handling duties and tasks, including lifting, carrying, using ladders etc.
- Ability to travel to other stores/locations where required.
