The predicted salary is between 800 - 1400 £ per month.
Our eCommerce trading teams make changes to the websites daily to ensure it exceeds customers' expectations and is reflective of current sales and trends. Our online trading teams also suggest and drive forward improvements to the site to ensure that our customer experience is constantly improving and is better than the competition.
As an eCommerce Trading Trainee, you will learn how to focus on growing sales across our UK website while providing essential onsite marketing support. You will play a key role in ensuring that the website reflects both current sales trends and future commercial opportunities. Working closely with our internal and product teams, you will learn to showcase the latest trends and best selling items, strategically placing them across the website from the homepage to the navigation links and within our customer marketing, including emails and adverts.
We will support you to gain exceptional knowledge of search, navigation and commercial layout to make sure our online offering is always the best around. You will:
- Support the Trading Manager and wider online team with product and project launches.
- Analyse sales, finding opportunities to further enhance the website and maximise sales.
- Build knowledge and contribute to reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion, funnel drop offs, traffic and sales.
- Identify ways to improve the findability of products on our websites, spotted through data or from your product and brand knowledge.
- Utilise web merchandising tools/systems to ensure any opportunities are actioned.
- Optimise the online customer journey, determining the right products and content to get customers through the shopping journey as quickly as possible whilst maximising average order value.
- Continually review how we promote products across all our websites and other marketing platforms.
- Work with the product teams to suggest and drive forward strong product imagery for homepages, emails and marketing that best reflect sales and trends.
- Create and maintain the marketing plan and ensure it is executed on time.
- Collaborate with key teams across ecommerce for example, SEO, marketing, attribution, data, product content, copy and content teams.
- Identify, implement and drive improvements through your insights.
- Strive to make NEXT a market leader.
This is a trainee programme where we will support and train you on key online metrics, so therefore no eCommerce / online trading experience is necessary. However, we would love you to have:
