The Loss Prevention team is at the heart of our large-scale distribution operation, ensuring our sites remain safe and secure around the clock. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you’ll be the frontline of our security, protecting our people, stock, and vehicles across a 24/7 environment. Working closely with your Loss Prevention Manager and site colleagues, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining a professional and secure atmosphere. At NEXT, we’ll provide you with the necessary support and training to get you up to speed, ensuring you have the confidence to manage everything from site access to incident reporting.
What you'll take on:
- Secure the site: Monitor access for all staff, visitors, and contractors, ensuring only authorised personnel are on-site.
- Protect our assets: Conduct thorough searches of people and vehicles to deter theft and keep stock loss to an absolute minimum.
- Monitor systems: Oversee CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems, responding quickly and effectively to any alerts.
- Manage logistics: Control the entry and exit of delivery vehicles and loads, ensuring all movements are logged and secure.
- Handle incidents: Respond to security situations in a calm, professional manner, producing detailed reports and statements for the management team.
- Communicate risks: Work proactively with your Loss Prevention Manager to identify and report any potential security threats or operational risks.
