The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join the team with a particular focus on Womenswear. The role involves developing a commercially successful product range by building strong relationships with suppliers and analysing data to plan across all categories. Collaboration with designers and merchandisers is key to this process.
What You’ll Take On: Working on a trend‑led area covering a wide range of product types, you will constantly react to changing customer tastes and drive newness forward in design, formats and techniques. The Womenswear team uses a wide range of sources for inspiration, such as new travel destinations, catwalks and trade shows, to continually innovate and keep the category fast‑paced and exciting. You will also utilise specialist functions like product technology and sourcing to create a balanced range that caters for loyal customers while attracting new ones with unexpected designs. Working closely with the e‑commerce team, you will optimise online sales through tone of voice, imagery and other tools, and manage the critical path for product development and selection.
What You’ll Bring: The role requires the ability to manage multiple product ranges effectively and a clear understanding of brand DNA. You should be able to identify the latest trends for this category and have a comprehensive understanding of market competition. A proven track record in streamlining the critical path and trade ranges in‑season is crucial. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration. An enthusiastic attitude and a team‑player mindset are valued attributes. Experience in the homeware industry is preferred but not required.
