Our client, a leading charity, is currently seeking a proactive and customer-focused 1st Line IT Support Officer to join a busy and collaborative team on an ongoing contract basis. This role offers fantastic hybrid working and is ideal for someone immediately available who is looking to make an impact in a fast-paced environment.

A key focus of this post is to support the efficient running of the organisation’s IT and CRM function, as well as facilities-related activities. You will act as the first point of contact for all IT queries, providing day-to-day support to employees while liaising closely with our onsite and offsite IT provider and external suppliers. The organisation primarily works with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft-based systems, so strong experience in this environment is essential. You will report to the Senior IT Manager and work collaboratively with colleagues across all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first line IT support to all employees, including hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Act as the first point of contact for IT queries and ensure timely resolution or escalation where required
  • Liaise with external IT providers and suppliers to resolve technical issues
  • Support the smooth running of IT infrastructure across office and hybrid working environments
  • Set up and configure laptops, mobile devices, user accounts, and IT access for new starters
  • Manage user accounts for systems such as Cloudbooking and other business applications
  • Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and asset tracking
  • Support the Senior IT and CRM Manager with IT projects as required
  • Assist with maintenance of office equipment including printers, peripherals, and mobile devices

Facilities Support

  • Assist with ordering office stationery and kitchen supplies as required
  • Support general office facilities operations to ensure a smooth working environment

About You

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience in an IT support role within an office environment
  • Strong knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and cloud-based systems
  • Experience using Microsoft Exchange and managing user accounts
  • Experience working in a hybrid working environment

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a medium or large-sized organisation
  • Understanding of IT networks
  • Experience working within the charity or not-for-profit sector
