We are looking for a Data Protection Manager to join our Data Protection and Privacy team in London. Reporting directly to our Head of Data Protection/ DPO, you will provide hands-on support in driving and developing the data protection function at the head office level and rolling out our Global Privacy Programme across all Brands within our Group.
As a Data Protection Manager at Next15, you will:
- Assist the Head of Data Protection/DPO by contributing to the development of relevant Policies, Procedures, and Guidance for all our Group Entities and Subsidiaries.
- Offer practical and strategic data protection and privacy advice to all Next15 Brands, considering the nuances of global privacy legislation applicable to the US, EMEA, UK, APAC, and other territories/jurisdictions as required.
- Assist the Head of Data Protection/DPO in the delivery of Next15’s Global Data Protection Program and our AI Governance Framework.
- Manage and facilitate responses to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other individual rights requests, ensuring that releases align with statutory and regulatory obligations and adhere to deadlines.
- Assist the Head of Data Protection/DPO in various commercial activities, including those related to mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, commercial contract reviews, and the thorough examination of data processing agreements and data sharing agreements.
- Provide tailored training awareness programmes and deputise for our Head of Data Protection/DPO.
You will bring:
- Experience as a Data Protection and Privacy Practitioner either within an in-house environment or as a consultant.
- CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT qualified or working towards the attainment of such qualifications.
- Subject matter expertise in privacy & data protection law in the UK and EU with an awareness of other global frameworks such as CCPA, CPRA, PIPEDA, DPDP etc.
- Experience in dealing with customer complaints, supporting subject access requests, data breaches, delivering training and reporting requirements.
- Excellent consultancy skills with practical senior stakeholder management skills.
- A working knowledge of AI Governance standards and processes.
