Maynard Nexsen, a full-service law firm with nearly 600 attorneys across 31 locations nationwide, seeks an Associate with over 3 years of experience to assist its growing ERISA Insurance Litigation Team. Ideal candidate will be situated in one of our Southeastern office locations.
Maynard Nexsen is focused on deepening our bench of expertise and talent with a strong commitment to our client-first approach.
The Firm offers an opportunity for a litigation associate to support a dynamic insurance practice group with an emphasis on life, health and disability insurance as well as ERISA. The right candidate will have at least three years of hands-on litigation experience and will possess strong analytical and writing skills.
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess 3+ years of experience in hands-on litigation in a law firm setting;
- Experience in life, health and disability insurance as well as ERISA is preferred;
- Working knowledge of state and federal court practice and procedures;
- Strong writing, communication and oral advocacy skills; deposition and courtroom experience a plus;
- Ability to manage multiple case projects and deadlines and to work independently;
- Strong academic credentials, superior research skills and excellent analytical skills;
- Judicial clerkship or externship a plus.
