We are looking for a Group Leader to join Nexperia and lead a production area within our busy wafer fabrication facility. Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will be accountable for the performance of your area, providing clear leadership and acting as the main point of contact for operational and people-related matters.

This is a shift-based role working four nights on and four nights off, from 7pm to 7am.

What you will do As Group Leader, you will lead and develop your team while ensuring production priorities are understood and delivered safely and effectively. You will take ownership of your areas performance and contribute directly to the Fabs key performance indicators, including starts, outs, deliveries and throughput.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the safe and effective operation of your area, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and standards.
Monitoring area performance and taking timely action to address production issues, risks and priorities.
Managing and developing your team through regular feedback, coaching, mentoring and performance reviews.
Managing people-related matters fairly and consistently, including attendance, disciplinary and capability processes.
Planning staffing levels and skills coverage, including holiday, overtime, training and area flexibility.
Working closely with other Group Leaders, engineering, planning and support functions to resolve issues and achieve Fab priorities.
Ensuring effective communication throughout the shift, including clear instructions, escalation and shift handovers.
Using production data to identify trends, understand performance and present clear updates and analysis.
Leading and supporting continuous improvement activity to improve safety, quality, output, flexibility and cost.
Managing the areas indirect budget and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
Building an engaged and accountable team that works together to achieve and exceed company targets.
The successful candidate will be expected to stabilise and continuously improve their area, increase workforce flexibility and deliver sustainable performance against short-, medium- and long-term objectives.
What you will need The ability to work four nights on and four nights off, from 7pm to 7am
Previous team leadership, deputy leadership, coaching or mentoring experience.
A proven ability to lead, engage and develop others.
Strong organisation and planning skills, with the ability to manage changing production priorities.
Effective communication skills and the confidence to communicate at all levels.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
The ability to read, understand, analyse and present production data.
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow and apply company processes consistently.
