The role of QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring the effective performance of Quality Control activities required to demonstrate product conformance, while adhering to company and client procedures. The QC Inspector must support in the overall delivery of nexos business objectives through the aligning of deliverables to that of the individual Function Unit strategy.

  • Provide positive engagement across all levels of the company to achieve business KPI’s
  • Establishing good working relationships with all managers, superintendents, production and Q.C personnel to ensure effective operation of all Quality Control activities at their appointed Fabrication facility.
  • Review, revise and issue job packs to production department, ensuring customer requirements are verified.
  • Co-ordinate all QC activities including review of material certification, generation of NDE requests
  • Carry out pre and post visual weld inspections, including weld process audits, pre and post dimensional inspections prior to sending to NDT.
  • Ensure that the appropriate levels of quality are met and that final product produced is in compliance with customer specification and expectations.
  • Ensuring all aspects of NDT and dimensional tolerances for fabrication are correct and ensure that all necessary certification is in place prior to final release.
  • Prepare documentation for 3rd party inspectors and client representatives prior to final release.
  • Organise, and liaise with 3rd party inspectors and client representatives ensuring requirements are complete for existing works.
  • Ensuring full traceability of weld and material information is maintained and recorded on the company database.
  • Review and verify documentation dossiers for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Develop self in accordance with the changing responsibilities of the role.

  • Experience in a fabrication environment.
  • Must have good working knowledge of industry codes and standards.

Preferred Minimum Qualifications:

  • CSWIP 3.0 qualification.
