Job Purpose: Accountable for preparation and delivery of structural draughting activities ensuring technical quality is maintained within budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working in accordance with regulatory HSE & Quality requirements.
- Working to the Business Management System (BMS) procedures and contributing to the improvement of department working practices, systems, and team efficiency.
- Maintaining required technical quality of work, in accordance with originating, checking and approval procedures.
- Contributing to the effective communication between all relevant stakeholders – client, engineering and project teams, and the wider company leadership team and support functions.
- Undertaking agreed training and development to provide a framework of knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in the team/department/business unit demonstrating ongoing competency required in role.
- Participating in annual and regular performance appraisal with relevant supervisor and/or manager, identifying and agreeing objectives and targets in relation to personal development.
- Producing and checking structural deliverables in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.
- Preparing & checking materials take-offs and bill of materials.
- Undertaking offshore surveys and creating survey reports.
- Providing technical input during detailed engineering of projects, if requested.
- Establishing good working relationships and communication with designers, other discipline leads, department managers and clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Essential: Previous experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry and ONC in engineering (or equivalent) or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrable competence in the use of AutoCAD 2D & 3D and ReCap software.
- Demonstrable experience in originating and checking of relevant engineering design deliverables.
- Good working knowledge of industry codes and standards.
- Desirable: Mandatory Offshore Certification (BOSIET, MIST, Medical, etc.)

- Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with client/projects/disciplines etc. as required.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Work Environment/Conditions:
- Office: Determined by assigned project/contract.
