Rigger Services comprising of rigging and lifting activities associated with a chemical plant construction project. Ensuring the completion of the services by the safe and compliant execution of rigging and lifting activities and associated outputs in accordance with agreed project requirements.

The Rigger shall be suitably qualified and experienced and shall hold all certifications, competencies and technical qualifications necessary to perform the role of rigger. This position shall hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. In addition, the following certifications are preferred but not essential: CPCS/NPORS A40 Slinger/Signaller Blue Card, and NVQ Level 2 Slinger/Signaller.

The Services shall include, but shall not be limited to, delivery of the following activities and outputs:

  • Inspection and verification of rigging and lifting equipment to confirm suitability, condition and compliance prior to use.
  • Installation, configuration and removal of rigging and lifting equipment in accordance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and approved lifting arrangements.
  • Identification of hazards associated with rigging and lifting activities and application of appropriate control measures relevant to the agreed scope of Services.
  • Execution of rigging and lifting operations in accordance with approved procedures, lift plans and applicable site requirements.
  • Compliance with permit, Control of Work (CoW) and applicable health, safety and environmental requirements insofar as necessary for safe delivery of the Services.

Must have experience of working on a COMAH site.
