Job Purpose:

Ensuring client deliverables are provided on time, to budget and to client expectations. Accountable for technical and commercial estimating, engineering, and management of client projects to meet specified requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental targets for assigned project/contract.
  • Utilising a defined Project Execution Plan (PEP) framework to ensure delivery of scopes within the contract are carried out to budget and any change is managed appropriately.
  • Owning and reviewing the scope plans to ensure that key milestones are met and input to a Contract Improvement Plan (CIP), as required.
  • Ensuring that scopes within assigned project/contract are carried out to budget and any change is managed appropriately.
  • Providing input to project/contract reviews, where required.
  • Ensuring timely approval of project budgets and CTRs.
  • Carrying out scope categorisation review for all scopes alongside all relevant functions and recording output.
  • Resource management to meet project/contract plans and functional liaison to support any planned up-mans or down-mans.
  • Fully resource loaded schedule to deliver scope plan, along with accurate resourcing profiles (supported by histograms or forward plans).
  • Timely and controlled estimating of individual scopes.
  • Accurate cost report, complete with accurate status of Change Management (Original Budget, Pending, With Client, Approved, Revised budget), PO status column, Anticipated Final Cost (and any variance between PO value and AFC).
  • Timely issue of agreed plans and schedules to drive performance and contract requirements.
  • Effective ‘Risk Management’ of individual scopes, ensuring risks are identified and escalated in line with procedure for High and Very High risks.
  • Effective management of all project/contract data, drawings and documentation.
  • Ensuring that project/contract KPIs are met where relevant.
  • Ensuring that invoicing for responsible scope is carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that project purchase orders are received in an accurate and timely manner from the client and reviewed accordingly.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Essential:
  • Proven ability in delivering complex client projects in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience in managing successful teams.
  • Considerable previous experience in a Project Engineering role.
  • Experience in decommissioning and EDC Type scopes.

  • Good communicator and proven ability to delivery results across a complex group of internal, and external, stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • Office: Determined by assigned project/contract.
  • Full-Time: 37.5-hours per week.
