The predicted salary is between 60000 - 84000 £ per year.
We are looking for an experienced Senior E&I Designer to support the nexos team on a contract basis for 12 months based in Aberdeen. This is a full time, outside IR35 role.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that assigned work is compliant to agreed budget and schedule.
- Maintaining required technical quality of work.
- Maintaining project plan, progress updates and cost control for assigned scopes.
- Maintaining project scope/schedule change(s) in accordance with project change control process (as required in conjunction with discipline Lead/Principal Engineer or Lead E&I Designer).
- Ensuring compliance to applicable/up to date standards, regulations, codes and procedures.
- Estimate/schedule preparation, input and electronic submission via digital eco-system (Slingshot).
- Maintaining effective communication with project management and inter-discipline teams.
- Review & check of work output and delivery (including remote working, e-checking/approval etc.).
- Maintaining discipline/design document filing (including electronic) & update of design database(s).
- Maintaining regular contact and dialogue with Lead/Principal Designer, highlighting issues, concerns or areas for improvement.
- Ensuring implementation of relevant design requirements including software (CAD/Model etc.).
- Site survey/visits where necessary.
- Occasional requirement to act as design focal point as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry with HNC/NC (or equivalent) in appropriate Engineering subject (Electrical/Instrumentation).
- Broad knowledge and expertise of draughting techniques.
- Selection/use of, codes, practices, standards & statutory documentation (including multi-discipline).
- Awareness, and suitable application, of Quality Control, Safety & Environmental methods and engineering procedures for design.
- Prior exposure to commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of design.
It would be desirable to hold mandatory offshore certifications (BOSIET, MIST, Medical etc)
