Job Description
nexos have an Offshore Construction Supervisor (OCS) role available on a contract basis.
The role is based on 5 day working week, hybrid pattern between nexos /client office and home working.
Following bridge landing scheduled early June, you'll to mobilise 3 on 3 off through to scheduled campaign completion currently estimated Dec 2025.
Scopes to be undertaken Onshore but not limited to:
- Assist with review of Work packs / Job card/FDS creation/Review
- Attend and have input to constructability & readiness reviews
- Feed into execution schedules
- Assist with the development of manning profile, ensuring aligned with execution schedule
- Assist with preparing Permits
- Assist with raising Scaffold request
- Assist with review FM requirements per scope and liaise to FM team
Offshore Key Responsibilities:
Establish Effective Working Relationships: Build strong relationships with supervisors and colleagues to ensure efficient task execution and team collaboration.
Oversee Construction Execution: Supervise the execution of all construction activities, ensuring compliance with client specifications and site standards.
Coordinate with Project Stakeholders: Act as a liaison between project managers, survey teams, and onshore engineers to ensure efficient project delivery and management.
Manage Workload and Manning: Prioritise tasks and allocate resources to meet planned target dates, ensuring timely project progression.
Track Progress and Report: Compile daily progress reports, timesheets, and other documentation to provide clear project status updates.
Lead Toolbox Talks: Conduct safety and operational toolbox talks at the beginning of each offshore shift to ensure safety standards are communicated and understood.
Overall project delivery: Support project execution, including coordination with vendors and ensuring requirements are met.
Complete Certification and Handover: Manage certification, commissioning, and handover documentation, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions.
Conduct Team Appraisals: Participate in the appraisal process for team members, focusing on performance reviews and development opportunities.
Promote Safety Leadership: Lead by example in safety, intervening in unsafe situations and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently without compromising safety.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
1. Relevant Trade Qualification: Apprenticeship or Level 3 SVQ/NVQ equivalent in trade discipline or;
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience offshore at Supervisory level
Preferred
1. Relevant Offshore Mandatory Requirements (Survival, Medical, MIST, EBS etc.)
2. ONC in engineering/City and Guilds in a related trade or NVQ in a related trade
3. Relevant experience and/or appropriate training in Flange Management and Torquing (MJI10, 18 and 19)
4. Relevant experience and/or appropriate training in Quick Flange and Lokring
5. Good working knowledge of industry codes and standards
