Materials Co-ordinator is responsible for the strategic oversight, coordination, and optimisation of all materials, equipment, and supply chain activities to support operations, maintenance, and project delivery at Site. The role ensures materials are procured, received, stored, controlled, and issued safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, compliance requirements, and commercial objectives. The position acts as the key interface between procurement, suppliers, project teams, and site operations.

  • Coordinate all materials management activities.
  • Oversee ordering of equipment and materials in line with project schedules and operational requirements.
  • Manage goods-in and goods-out processes, ensuring accurate documentation, manifests, and certification compliance.
  • Ensure full traceability and integrity of materials control systems.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve materials management procedures and systems.
  • Liaise closely with procurement, engineering, construction, and logistics teams to forecast demand and mitigate supply risks.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify surplus/obsolete materials, and optimise inventory holding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers where beneficial to project or operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • Produce regular reports on materials status, inventory, and supply chain performance.
  • Support audits and ensure documentation meets contractual and regulatory requirements.

Must have experience of working on a COMAH site.
