About the Role: To provide procurement and expediting support to the CNRI contract, ensuring fabrication scopes and site requisitions are processed, monitored, and delivered in line with project requirements. The role is hands-on and admin-heavy, requiring close coordination with engineers, fabricators, construction teams, and suppliers to maintain control over material and service deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a live Tracker for fabrication scopes including drawing numbers, spool/support IDs, and ROS dates.
- Create and maintain structured files for each fabrication scope (drawings, documents, correspondence).
- Act as focal point for the WPA (Welding Procedure Approval) process between Welding TA and external fabricators.
- Update Tracker with purchase order data and fabrication status in real-time, alerting project engineers of delays or changes.
- Collaborate with project engineers and the supply chain team to resolve routine queries.
- Manage site requisitions from platform teams by coordinating costing and delivery input, progressing approvals via DocuSign, and raising POs.
- Liaise with vendors and construction to resolve queries, expedite orders, handle airfreight, and track tooling deliveries and Hire Register entries.
- Escalate any potential risks to delivery or quality to the buyer and project engineers.
- Provide support to the Buyer by managing procurement documentation, RFQs, expediting, raising POs, inspections, and material queries.
Qualifications:
- Experience in procurement or expediting.
- Working knowledge of fabrication processes and documentation.
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with tracking/reporting tools (Excel-based Trackers or procurement systems).
- Good communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external vendors.
Required Skills:
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple task streams at once.
- Clear communicator with a proactive approach to expediting and issue resolution.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing project environment.
- Able to take initiative and follow through on responsibilities without heavy supervision.
Work Environment: Full-Time: 37.5-hours per week. St Magnus House Aberdeen. May require working from other office locations in Aberdeen to support business operations.
