To lead and coordinate day-to-day procurement activities across Nexos Solutions, ensuring procurement requirements are delivered in line with business objectives, company procedures and commercial requirements. The role supports the Group Supply Chain Manager through operational leadership of the procurement function, supplier management and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate day to day procurement activities across Nexos Solutions, ensuring business and project requirements are delivered safely, commercially and in line with agreed timescales.
  • Manage, prioritise and coordinate workload across the procurement team, providing guidance and support to procurement personnel.
  • Lead competitive tendering, RFQ and ITT activities for major materials, equipment, subcontract and service requirements.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve favourable commercial and contractual outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, Delegation of Authority requirements and supply chain governance standards.
  • Support procurement governance and assurance activities, including periodic review and continuous improvement of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Support supplier performance management, onboarding activities and the implementation of framework agreements and preferred supplier arrangements.
  • Build effective relationships with Engineering, Commercial, Construction, Operations and Project teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Act as the operational escalation point for procurement issues and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
  • Act as deputy to the Group Supply Chain Manager and provide support across supply chain activities as required.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain or commercial roles within engineering, energy, construction, manufacturing or project-based environments.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience negotiating supplier and subcontract agreements.
  • Experience managing RFQ, tendering and supplier evaluation activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver procurement activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and resolving procurement-related issues.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable:

  • Experience coordinating, mentoring or supporting other procurement personnel.
  • Experience leading procurement activities for complex projects or packages.
  • Experience managing subcontract procurement activities.
  • Experience implementing procurement process improvements.
  • Knowledge of framework agreements and strategic sourcing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead procurement activities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain or commercial management.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
  • CIPS qualification or willingness to work towards MCIPS.
  • Relevant professional procurement or commercial qualifications.

Work Environment/Conditions:

Office: Albyn Place. May require working from other office locations in Aberdeen to support business operations. Full-Time: 37.5-hours per week.
