Job Purpose:

Managing multiple concurrent construction projects spread over various sites/assets, duties include liaising with the client, conducting meetings to understand the requirements and working with them to provide safe and efficient solutions. Liaising with and management of subcontractors such as civils and heavy lift. Work within the construction function to develop project capabilities and to differentiate nexos from its competitors as a leading EPC contractor. To manage and continuously review and develop governance processes and procedures to improve the company’s ability to consistently execute construction, completions, and commissioning of all integrity and project scopes of work. Manage construction work scope packaging strategies including Work Breakdown Structures and construction work packs. Managing and adhering to CDM requirements where applicable. Attend project reviews and drive construction efficiency and improvements across all projects and contracts. Monitor KPIs to drive efficiencies. Build and maintain construction planning data for scope. Carrying out review of performance and initiating and maintaining Grow conversations within the Construction team. Implement and maintain a Construction Execution Plan (CEP) framework to ensure delivery of scopes within the contract are carried out to budget and any change is managed appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a culture of We Challenge, supported by a Contract or Project tracker of savings, efficiencies and net zero solutions.
  • Perform asset/site management visits to allow team engagement and encourage focus key areas.
  • Ensure construction management performance contributes to TSL playbook deliverables.
  • Owner of any function actions for the contract action/risk registers.
  • Support the compilation of high-level estimates for tenders and bids.
  • Reviewing and approving all construction documentation relating to work scopes.
  • Attend constructability reviews.
  • Own the completion of contract specific training matrix requirements and sign off in conjunction with HR/contract manager.
  • Ensure construction function adheres to the quality assurance and control processes and procedures within BMS system.
  • Attendance at any DNV audits as Construction TA.
  • Review the contract plans to ensure that construction performance adheres to the overall delivery of client construction plan.
  • Govern periodic reviews of power BI reports and review against construction KPI’s within CCSU.
  • Act as focal point in regard to WIP, DSO and commercial for designated contract.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ, Degree or City and Guild qualification.
  • Extensive experience years construction in a similar role desired.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communicator and proven ability to deliver results across a complex group of internal, and external, stakeholders.
  • Extensive proficiency in managing successful teams.
  • Proven ability in delivering complex construction projects in the energy and/or chemical industry.
