Here at Blueleaf, we are looking for a passionate Warehouse Operative to join our Operations team in Crawley. In summary, you will undertake a range of warehouse related duties, including forklift driving, with key responsibilities of picking, packing, labelling and loading of delivery vehicles to ensure customer’s orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. This is a permanent full-time role working 45 hours a week, 05:00am - 14:00pm, Monday to Friday. Immediate start available.
Your Day To Day Responsibilities:
- Live and promote Blueleaf's Culture and Values.
- Multi-skill functionality role covering all working elements of the depot from Goods in / Picking / Packing / MHE driving & tipping plus loading of vehicles.
- Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed and despatched to the required standard with appropriate paperwork completed.
- Ensure the checking of returns from company vehicles.
- Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products and goods are carried out in accordance with manual handling guidance.
- Operate in a safe manner complying with all health and safety and environmental regulations to ensure both your own safety and others, wearing the safety equipment provided by the company.
- Handle any hazardous materials in line with product discretion and regulations.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Make recommendations to aid operational efficiency, and add value.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with all procedures, rules and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ideally will hold MHE – (Bendi/Flexi) / FLT / PPT licences to support the operation due to volumes and cover.
- Replenishment of warehouse pick face items on a daily basis.
- Carry out stock counts as requested by shift manager.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven work experience within a warehouse environment lifting heavy goods.
- Previous use of Counter Balance/Flexi Forklift Truck and pallet truck equipment.
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems.
- Teamwork skills willing to participate as a full member of the team.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge in health and safety, manual handling and hazardous substances.
- Planning and organising, establishing a course of action for self and others to accomplish specific goals.
- Work standards setting high goals and standards of performance for self and team.
