Estimator – Construction (Fit-Out & Refurbishment) About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-driven Estimator ideally with a strong background in fit-out and refurbishment projects to join a family run long established Fit Out/Refurb business in Aldershot. This is a fully office-based role offering the chance to work on a variety of high-quality commercial, retail, education, and residential schemes across the South East. As Estimator, you will take full ownership of the tendering process from initial enquiry through to bid submission, playing a key part in our pre-construction team and shaping the financial success of upcoming projects. Key Responsibilities Estimator: * Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for fit-out and refurbishment projects (typically £500k–£5m+) * Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications * Liaise with supply chain and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing * Assess drawings, schedules and specifications to identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options * Produce pricing documents, cost plans, and detailed BOQs * Attend pre-tender site visits and client briefings as required * Collaborate with project managers, contracts managers, and directors to finalise bids * Support junior estimators and contribute to process improvements Requirements for Estimator: * Minimum 3 years’ experience ideally in estimating for fit-out and/or refurbishment projects * Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, construction methods, and trades * Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. ConQuest, Causeway, Excel) * Excellent attention to detail and commercial acumen * Able to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively * Confident in supplier/subcontractor engagement and negotiation * Strong written and verbal communication skills What We Offer * Competitive salary between £50,000 – £80,000 depending on experience * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays * Workplace pension scheme * Professional development support (CPD, memberships) * Stable, office-based role within a friendly and collaborative team * Free on-site parking For more details and information on the Estimator role please Email
