Nexo People is recruiting on behalf of a well-established supported-housing provider for an experienced Locality Manager. Based in Bury, Greater Manchester, you'll lead and develop adult supported-housing services across a designated region, with regular travel to schemes in your area. This is a senior operational role managing performance, quality, people and budgets across multiple supported housing services. You'll oversee a regional team and services supporting tenants and residents, with direct line management of around 10 staff and indirect oversight of 50-75.
The role blends governance and regulatory compliance, relationship-building with commissioners and funders, income generation, financial oversight, risk and safeguarding leadership, and continuous service improvement. Please note this role requires an Enhanced DBS check (with the adults' barred list), and the employer is unable to offer visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on performance against service specifications and KPIs, ensuring delivery meets contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with commissioning teams, funders and other providers to create growth and collaboration opportunities.
- Lead, develop and manage the regional team to achieve operational goals and KPIs.
- Contribute to income generation and business growth, securing and expanding contracts and managing implementation and exit risks.
- Provide financial oversight of the region: managing delegated budgets, monitoring income and expenditure, and improving resource efficiency.
- Embed a culture of continuous improvement through audits, service reviews and performance monitoring.
- Review and update policies and procedures with department leads, and design and deliver training across the organisation.
- Lead co-production, engagement and complaints handling, driving tenant satisfaction across the region.
- Lead operational and strategic risk management, coordinating out-of-hours cover and acting as the locality Safeguarding Coordinator.
What you'll bring
- A basic standard of education, plus a professional housing qualification (e.g. Chartered Institute of Housing recognised).
- A proven ability to lead multiple supported-accommodation services in a managerial capacity.
- Knowledge of person-centred support, trauma-informed care and psychologically informed environments.
