Job Title: Exams Officer

Location: Chafford Hundred, Grays (RM16)

Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only, Permanent

Salary: Grade 5 (Outer London) Β£32,535 – Β£34,488 FTE

Actual Salary: Β£23,535 – Β£25,388.83 (32 hours per week, 38 weeks per year + 5 days)

We are working with a β€˜Good’ secondary school in Chafford Hundred, Grays, who are seeking a committed and organised Exams Officer to join them on a permanent basis from February.

This is a key role within the school, ensuring that all internal and external examinations are planned, organised and run smoothly, in line with JCQ and awarding body regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all internal and external examinations across the school
  • Manage exam entries, registrations and exam timetables
  • Liaise with exam boards, senior leaders, Heads of Department and teaching staff
  • Organise exam rooms, seating plans and invigilation staff
  • Ensure compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations at all times
  • Oversee the secure storage, receipt and distribution of exam papers and materials
  • Support with results days, including processing and distributing results and managing post-results services
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required
