A leading AV solutions provider is seeking an experienced Technical Estimator with strong Audio Visual technical expertise and sound commercial acumen. This role plays a key part in supporting the sales team by producing accurate and detailed quotations for high-value, bespoke, and complex AV projects. Key Responsibilities * Produce detailed, accurate, and timely quotations for bespoke and contractual AV projects, factoring in equipment, crew, logistics, and commercial targets. * Collaborate with the sales team during early-stage project scoping, offering technical guidance to ensure alignment with client requirements. * Attend technical briefings and client meetings when required, to clarify scope, propose alternatives, and support the sales process. * Provide flexible or tiered pricing structures to suit various budgets and enhance upselling opportunities. * Assist in the preparation of tender responses, including technical justifications, kit selections, and proposed alternatives. * Support the operational handover of confirmed projects, delivering comprehensive documentation such as system designs, timelines, and defined scopes. * Participate in post-project reviews to assess variances between estimated and actual costs, providing insights to enhance future accuracy. * Take ownership of the InspHire quoting system, maintaining data integrity, refining templates, and promoting best practices across the team. * Deliver regular training and knowledge-sharing sessions to the sales team on emerging technologies, kit capabilities, and quoting methodologies. * Stay informed on AV industry trends, product developments, and supplier updates to maintain high standards in pricing and proposals.
