About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Product Owner / Scrum Master to lead our RPA and Power Platform team. This dual role combines strategic product ownership — driving the automation vision and backlog — with hands-on Scrum facilitation to ensure the team delivers value consistently and continuously improves. You will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders seeking automation solutions and an engineering team building them using UiPath and Microsoft Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership
- Own the RPA product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy; present quarterly priorities and business benefits to stakeholders.
- Prioritise and manage the automation backlog (features, change requests, JSM enhancements), making scope and delivery decisions based on business impact and ROI.
- Triage incoming automation requests, conduct feasibility gating, and coordinate process assessments using established templates and calculators.
- Define acceptance criteria in collaboration with Business Analysts; ensure epics and stories are well-elaborated with clear definitions of done.
- Coordinate UAT with stakeholders and ensure sign-off before deployment.
- Manage change requests and scope control throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Track ROI and drive continuous improvement across the automation portfolio.
- Lead PI Planning preparation, communicating the quarterly vision and program-level priorities.
- Manage operational communications to stakeholders including status updates, timelines, and UAT expectations.
- Oversee UiPath bot licensing renewal coordination and Power Automate license ticket routing via JSM.
- Champion the Automation Community of Practice and innovation week participation.
- Scrum Master Duties
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Shield the team from external distractions and remove impediments to delivery.
- Coach the team on Agile principles and foster a culture of self-organisation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Track sprint metrics (velocity, capacity, burndown) and use data to improve team performance.
- Facilitate risk and dependency identification during PI Planning and sprint cycles.
- Promote transparency through effective use of Jira boards, dashboards, and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or combined PO/SM role within a technology or engineering team.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks, including SAFe or similar scaled Agile methodologies (PI Planning experience preferred).
- Experience managing backlogs and roadmaps using Jira and documenting in Confluence.
- Familiarity with RPA technologies (UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps) or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to assess automation opportunities: understanding process complexity, ROI estimation, feasibility, and effort sizing.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills — comfortable engaging with business process owners across multiple departments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).
- Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) for intake and support workflows.
- Background in enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or ERP platforms where automation is typically applied.
- Experience with governance frameworks, SOX compliance sign-off processes, or platform administration (Power Platform Admin Center, UiPath Orchestrator).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in an RPA context.
