Are you from a security systems background or an experienced electrician looking to step into the world of CCTV and mobile surveillance? Our partner is looking for a CCTV Engineer to join their growing team and work on cutting-edge, field-based security technology.
About Us: They are a leading provider of innovative security solutions, with a strong focus on deployable CCTV systems used in construction, property, events, and public safety. They specialise in rapid deployment technology that keeps people and property protected in dynamic environments.
Role Overview: This is a field-based role where you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of mobile/deployable CCTV units. You’ll work on a variety of sites, deploying cameras and communications equipment, with the opportunity to build on your existing skills through specialist training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission deployable/mobile CCTV systems (e.g. solar towers, 4G/5G cameras, pole-mounted systems)
- Configure IP networks, routers, SIM-based comms, and remote monitoring platforms
- Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and upgrades on deployed systems
- Work with power solutions, including solar panels, battery systems, and 230V supplies
- Provide excellent customer service while working on-site
- Complete accurate documentation and reports for each deployment
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and data protection standards
We’re Looking For:
Candidates from either of the following backgrounds:
- Security/CCTV Installers – experience with fixed or mobile CCTV systems
- Electricians/Electrical Engineers – with strong practical skills and a desire to train in CCTV
Essential Skills:
- Electrical knowledge – confident working with cabling, power supplies, and site installations
- Good understanding of tools, testing equipment, and safe working practices
- Willingness to work outdoors and on varied sites (construction, roadside, remote areas)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and technical curiosity
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable (but not essential):
- Knowledge of CCTV systems (IP-based), routers, SIM card configuration
- Experience with deployable cameras in security or construction
- ECS/CSCS card
- IPAF/PASMA or Working at Height certification
