NexHire is supporting a specialist fire engineering consultancy with the appointment of Senior and Principal Fire Engineers. The role
- Providing fire engineering advice across a range of projects, working closely with clients, design teams and other stakeholders to develop practical, technically sound solutions.
- Leading fire engineering projects from initial brief through design and delivery.
- Developing and reviewing fire strategies, technical reports and fire engineering assessments.
- Advising clients and design teams on fire safety requirements and design options.
- Managing project scope, deadlines and delivery quality.
- Attending design meetings and liaising with relevant stakeholders.
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
- At Principal level, taking greater responsibility for technical oversight, client relationships and team development.
About you
- Experience within fire engineering consultancy, with a track record of delivering projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK fire safety legislation, regulations and guidance.
- Confidence explaining technical matters clearly to clients and project teams.
- A relevant engineering qualification.
- Chartered status, or progress towards it, would be welcomed.
- For Principal appointments, experience leading projects, reviewing technical work and supporting other engineers.
