We’re currently partnering with a well-capitalised, privately backed real estate platform to appoint a Commercial Property Manager. This is a key hire within a growing business, offering genuine influence across a mixed commercial portfolio and the opportunity to play a central role in shaping the next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional property management role. Whilst you will retain oversight of day-to-day estate performance, the focus is on commercial decision-making, leadership and driving long term asset value. You’ll work closely with ownership and senior stakeholders, influencing strategy across a London-focused portfolio spanning office, retail and mixed-use assets. The environment is entrepreneurial, high-trust and low bureaucracy, offering autonomy, visibility, and the ability to implement ideas without layers slowing things down.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of a commercial property portfolio, ensuring assets are maintained to a high, market-ready standard
  • Act as the primary point of contact for landlord and tenant matters, including lease compliance and statutory requirements
  • Lead tenant applications and identify value-add opportunities in collaboration with Asset Managers
  • Support leasing activity and ensure assets are presented in line with commercial and marketing objectives
  • Work closely with Asset Managers to provide performance insights and contribute to business plans
  • Manage service charge budgets, ensuring transparency, efficiency and cost recovery
  • Review supplier contracts, identifying cost-saving and operational improvement opportunities
  • Oversee service charge reconciliations and invoice approvals in line with RICS standards
  • Ensure compliance across Health & Safety, statutory obligations and insurance matters
  • Drive ESG initiatives across the portfolio
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to overall team performance

About You

We’re looking to speak with commercially minded property professionals who bring both operational depth and strategic awareness. You will likely have:

  • Experience managing multi-let commercial portfolios (office, retail or mixed-use)
  • A strong understanding of service charge, lease management and compliance
  • Exposure to asset management collaboration or value-add initiatives
  • Confidence operating with autonomy and stakeholder visibility
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with strong relationship management skills

MRICS is beneficial but not essential.

The Environment

This is a business where:

  • Decision-making sits close to ownership
  • People are trusted to take ownership of their remit
  • Ideas and challenge are welcomed where they drive performance
  • There is minimal red tape and a genuine ability to influence outcomes

It suits individuals who want more than a narrow remit and are looking to step into a role where their experience genuinely shapes a platform.
