Job Description:
- Conduct thorough inspections of various types of lifting equipment including cranes, hoists, and rigging in accordance with LOLER & PUWER.
- Identify and document equipment defects, malfunctions and safety concerns.
- Provide recommendations for repairs, replacements or maintenance activities based on inspection findings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Service, Repair & Inspect Lifting Equipment on customer sites & the company's workshop.
- Complete necessary paperwork in line with the company's set procedures.
- Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations to ensure accurate and effective inspections.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles, Manual/Powered Hoists, Lifting Beams, Runway Beams plus various other forms for Lifting & Handling Equipment.
- LEEA Qualifications, or time served in relevant industry.
- Good knowledge of inspection techniques applicable to Lifting Equipment.
- A good understanding of the fundamentals of general engineering required.
- Good understanding of method statement and risk assessments.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
- Organisation.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
