A growing precision engineering and advanced manufacturing company is looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join their electronics and production team. This is a hands-on role working with electrical wiring looms, harnesses, control panels, and electronic assemblies, supporting the build of high-quality engineered products used in demanding technical industries. If you have experience in electrical assembly, cable harnessing, wiring looms or panel wiring, this is an excellent opportunity to join a modern manufacturing environment where quality, precision, and technical excellence are valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical looms, harnesses, and control panels from engineering drawings and wiring schedules.
  • Install and integrate electrical and electro-mechanical components into assemblies.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Carry out testing, inspection, and fault finding on wiring assemblies and electronic systems.
  • Ensure all wiring and assemblies meet strict quality and manufacturing standards.
  • Use electrical testing equipment including digital multimeters and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform quality checks and record inspection results.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to maintain high build standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Electrical wiring or electronics assembly within a manufacturing environment.
  • Building wiring harnesses, looms or cable assemblies.
  • Working with connectors, cables, and termination methods.
  • Cable preparation including stripping, crimping and soldering.
  • Using crimp tools and performing pull testing.
  • Reading electrical schematics and wiring schedules.
  • Understanding wire gauges, cable identification and numbering systems.
  • High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and workmanship.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with military, aerospace, or defence wiring standards.
  • IPC certifications such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies).
  • IPC J-STD-001 certification for soldered electronic assemblies.
  • Experience with PCB through-hole assembly (THT).
