Our client is a well established precision engineering company manufacturing high quality tubular and threaded components for industries including aerospace, motorsport, oil and gas and defence. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner Programmer Setter to join their skilled engineering team. This role would suit someone confident programming CNC lathes at the machine and producing one off or small batch precision components to tight tolerances.
The Role
- Programming CNC lathes directly at the machine
- Setting and operating 2 axis CNC turning machines
- Producing one off and small batch precision components
- Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Carrying out in process inspection using measuring equipment
Requirements
- Strong CNC turning background within precision engineering
- Experience programming CNC lathes at the machine
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working with a range of materials
- Quality driven with strong attention to detail
Desirable
- Experience with Fanuc controlled lathes
- Experience with Fanuc Manual Guide i or G code programming
Hours of Work & Benefits
- Overtime available paid at time and a half
- Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Friday 8:00am to 2:30pm
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays plus additional Christmas shutdown
