Our client is a well established precision engineering and manufacturing company based in the South West, supplying high quality machined components into demanding industries including aerospace, defence, medical and advanced engineering sectors. Due to continued growth and increasing demand for complex components, our client is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Setter Operator with experience working on multi axis machining centres. This is an excellent opportunity to join a skilled engineering team producing complex precision parts within a modern manufacturing environment.
The Role
- Setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Working on 4 axis and 5 axis machining centres
- Machining complex precision components to tight tolerances
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Adjusting tooling and offsets to maintain quality and accuracy
- Working closely with the production team to maintain efficient workflow
- Carrying out in process inspection using standard measuring equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Strong milling background within a precision engineering environment
- Experience working with 4 axis or 5 axis machining centres
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Understanding of tooling, cutting strategies and machining processes
- Experience producing complex components
