NexGen Consultancy LTD are currently recruiting for a CADCAM Programmer to join a prestigious, well established precision engineering subcontractor based in Bristol. Known for its innovative solutions and high quality production standards, they strive to offer a turnkey solution to their customers.
This position is not just about CAD/CAM capability in isolation. They are looking for someone with strong, proven experience in helping production run better, who is comfortable operating in a live manufacturing environment and taking ownership of outcomes on the shop floor.
The role is specifically to:
- Help set up and embed offline programming as a core way of working
- Improve the current structure and discipline within both milling and turning
- Reduce machine downtime caused by on-machine programming
- Standardise tooling, programs, and processes
- Work closely with operators, setters, and production to improve throughput, efficiency, and OTIF
We are looking for someone who:
- Has already worked in a dedicated offline programming role within a production environment (Fusion 360 preferred)
- Understands the realities of delivery pressure, missing tooling, and machine constraints
- Is hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable being on the shop floor
- Wants to build and improve a system, not just generate programs
This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking company, who champions the potential of developing their staff. If you feel you are the right candidate for the role, apply now.
