ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD: We are a fast-growing company building next‑generation GPU cloud infrastructure. NexGen Cloud is the company behind Hyperstack, a cloud platform providing on‑demand and private cloud infrastructure for high‑performance workloads. Hyperstack is used by teams running compute‑heavy applications that need speed, reliability, and control. We’re a scale‑up by design: moving fast, solving complex problems and building technology that has real‑world impact. At the core of NexGen Cloud is a team of curious, driven people who care deeply about quality, ownership and collaboration.
THE ROLE: This role exists to support NexGen Cloud’s continued global growth and expansion across multiple regions and technology teams. As we scale across Australia, US, UK, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, South Africa and Europe, the complexity of our workforce (including direct employees, contractors and EOR arrangements) has increased significantly. You’ll have direct ownership of delivering high‑quality People Partnering support to our technology business units, ensuring managers are equipped to effectively lead their teams, manage performance, and navigate employee relations matters with confidence. This is a role for someone who enjoys responsibility, autonomy and being a trusted advisor. You’ll work closely with another People Partner in a lean team of three, where your impact will be visible, valued, and directly linked to business outcomes. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, scale‑up environment and enjoys influencing stakeholders across global teams.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, using strong influencing skills to guide data‑led decision‑making and drive fair, pragmatic outcomes.
- Own and drive employee relations support across your aligned technology business units, providing expert guidance on probation reviews, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and conduct processes.
- Collaborate closely with line managers across multiple regions, building strong relationships and coaching them to confidently manage people matters.
- Build and execute robust onboarding and induction processes, including contracts, referencing, and background checks for employees, contractors, and EOR populations.
- Identify opportunities to improve and scale People processes in a growing, global environment, ensuring consistency and compliance across jurisdictions.
- Contribute to broader People initiatives, bringing ideas and taking ownership beyond your core remit to enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness.
- Ensure operational excellence across core People processes, maintaining high standards in documentation, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.
ABOUT YOU: We’re more interested in how you think and work than in a perfect CV. You’ll likely bring a combination of the following:
- Proven experience in a People Partner / HRBP role supporting managers with employee relations matters.
- Experience of working in a global or multi‑region organisation, with complex workforce structures including direct employees, contractors, and EOR arrangements.
- Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and challenge stakeholders constructively.
- Experience managing onboarding processes, including drafting contracts, referencing, and background checks.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving, global scale‑up environment with multiple priorities.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a pragmatic, solutions‑focused approach.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience supporting technology or engineering teams.
- Experience scaling People processes in a growing business.
- Familiarity with employment practices across multiple jurisdictions.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Competitive salary and annual discretionary bonus scheme.
- 25 days of holiday, plus public holidays.
- Hybrid working arrangements (3 days in London Office, 2 days working from home).
- Real ownership and autonomy, with the trust to take initiative and experiment.
- The opportunity to make a visible, meaningful impact as we scale.
- Clear career progression and growth opportunities in a fast‑growing company.
- A collaborative, international culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership.
- The chance to help shape NexGen Cloud’s team, culture, and future alongside ambitious, mission‑driven colleagues.
