NexGen Associates is partnering with an innovative technology organisation delivering advanced engineering solutions across complex sensing and signal processing environments. Due to continued growth and investment in research and development, they are seeking an experienced Project Support Officer to join their team based in North Somerset.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of technically complex R&D programmes, supporting project leads in the successful planning, coordination and delivery of cutting-edge technology projects across a variety of sectors.
The Role:
As a Project Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are well coordinated, effectively tracked and delivered in line with time, cost and quality expectations. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to support the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project planning, scheduling and resource coordination
- Maintain progress tracking and produce regular status reports
- Assist with budget control, financial reporting, forecasting and billing
- Maintain project documentation, logs and governance records
- Track and support the management of risks, issues and dependencies
- Support project review meetings and customer reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processes
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a project support, PMO or project controls environment
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and project tracking tools
- Experience using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 for scheduling
- Experience with Salesforce is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Experience within engineering or R&D environments is desirable
- Familiarity with Kantata SX (Kimble) or similar PSA tools is beneficial
- Experience working with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery models
- A project qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or MSP would be advantageous
