My client, who are leaders in their field, are looking for a HR Oracle SME who will have a functional lead role with a focus on Oracle Fusion, particularly in the payroll and HCM modules. The client currently has Oracle EBS and wants to implement Fusion.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily advisory in nature.
- Assist in key decision-making and analysis.
- Ensure end-to-end process designs align with Oracle standards.
- Collaboration with SI (System Integrator): Plans to share designs with the SI at a later stage. Will collaborate with the SI during the build phase.
Initial Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and oversight on service designs.
- Ensure alignment with standard Oracle practices.
- Work with business stakeholders to finalize design decisions.
Design Decision Support:
- Help evaluate options for decisions like: Single payroll vs. multiple payrolls (e.g., officer vs. staff payroll).
- Support process modelling activities over the summer.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Payroll, preferably Fusion (EBS experience acceptable).
- Understanding of public sector payroll.
- Technical understanding of Fusion configuration and integration - how it's built, how it works, and integrates with other modules.
- Broader HCM knowledge is highly desirable.
- Ability to advise on configurable choices and industry best practices, what is standard Oracle.
- Strong business engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
