The role
For Nexer, user research is an important part of creating user-centred digital products and services that help people to live and work better. We’re seeing more demand for our research services from our clients across multiple sectors and are looking for experienced user research specialists to jump straight on to project work.
You’ll be working in a multi-disciplinary team to understand the context, expectations and behaviour of people using the products and services we design. With experience of a wide range of user engagement activities, you’ll know how to select the best methods to gain the right results. You’ll have excellent analytical skills and be able to communicate outcomes to the client and wider project teams in the most effective way.
You’ll ideally have experience of agile, user-centred ways of working and be comfortable working to deadlines with a flexible, adaptable mindset. You’ll have strong collaboration skills, working with other team members to ensure that research objectives are clearly defined and met. You’ll excel in both the planning and delivery of various user engagements, through techniques such as interviews, surveys, usability testing and diary studies. You’ll be confident sharing research findings through workshops, reports, videos, user journey maps, personas and other methods.
If you have other design-led skills from content, UX, digital transformation, user-centred design, accessibility or related disciplines, to complement your research skills, we’d love to hear about those too!
We are ideally looking for someone with a few years’ experience working in a user research role within an agency environment, or within a UK government/public sector role. However, if you’ve got the relevant user research experience from a different industry or environment, we’d be keen to hear how your skills can be transferred so we’d love to hear from you too.
