Onboarding you to the Company: The Turnkey Project Execution section is responsible for execution of projects within the business group. All projects within the project execution section are grouped in product and/or client related portfolios. The Project Portfolio Director will allocate projects to the portfolio.
Welcoming you to the team: The departments contain the main disciplines within Project Management, Project QHSE and Risk β as well as allocated resources for Contract Management, Project Planning, Document Control, Finance/Controlling and Procurement. The Tender group is organised in the tender department β supported by the project department. The portfolio director may function as project manager, operational supervisor for one or several projects, and/or take on responsibility for specific tasks. The team is spread between several locations and may support execution activities ongoing in different plants and sites within the business group.
Getting a flying start: Tender Process β Tender & IMR: Support if and when required β including performing senior reviews.
Project Execution: Support the VP Operations/Project Director and/or the Department Manager by supervising projects, including β but not limited to β the following:
- Ensure that projects are executed according to contract obligations, client expectations and internal expectations, including profitability requirements and internal procedures β through supervision and support to the project manager.
- Support the process to obtain an as optimal project execution as possible, including identifying and controlling risks and opportunities.
- Act as project manager (PM) for special projects.
People Management: Coaching and developing team members. Support changes to ensure effective use of resources and to meet internal and external requirements.
Section: Turnover for the projects is in the range up to 1,000 MEUR. Contribute and participate in improvement work and agreed strategic initiatives. Responsible for reporting according to senior management requirements.
Key Interfaces: Management representatives from the client and stakeholders as required. All other operational and supporting departments in the business group. Director Projects/Department Manager within the relevant product area. Manufacturing plants. Other Nexans units dependent on projects.
