Cadarn Housing Group provides oversight and support services. Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association that offers over 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales, working in several local authority areas. Cadwyn Housing Association owns and manages 2,000 homes for affordable rent and low‑cost home ownership as well as a range of community regeneration initiatives.

About the role

The role involves undertaking specific building work, general maintenance and improvements to the Association’s tenanted and void properties, delivering a high quality, right first‑time repairs service, to maintain homes to the highest standard. Work will mostly involve assisting other Trade Operatives, although at times the Labourer will be required to independently complete work of a simple nature.

About you

We are looking for a general building Labourer to carry out minor building work, general maintenance, and improvements to our properties and to deliver a high‑quality repairs service whilst maintaining our homes to the highest standard. You will need a general knowledge of all aspects of domestic building maintenance and repairs. This is a demanding and challenging customer service delivery role, and you should enjoy working under your own initiative and managing a busy workload, whilst also being a team player with great customer service and communication skills. At Cadarn we expect high standards of work and the ability to be flexible, innovative and solution focused is important to us. Central to the way you work should be the desire to finish jobs 'right first time'. If you are looking to be part of our team then we want to hear from you!

This role will be working a 40‑hour week across our areas. A full driving licence is essential. The job is also subject to a Disclosure Barring Service (CRB) Check and a renewal check every three years.
