New Valley is a diverse one-form entry primary serving families largely from Purley and Coulsdon. We are part of the PACE Academy Trust, and we work closely with the other three schools in our partnership.

We are looking to appoint a patient, caring Teaching Assistant. The role will be a mixture of giving one-to-one support to a child with SEND, and supporting groups and other learners. Knowledge and experience of ASD, ADHD and dyslexia would help, and you should understand the importance of relationship-building in helping children to achieve.

We are always particularly interested in candidates who can offer other skills, experience or interests – for example, languages, sports, the arts – that could help to build our children’s cultural capital.

As Ofsted said in June 2023: “This is a welcoming, happy and inclusive place to learn. Pupils are proud to belong to the school’s diverse community”. We think you could be too…

Please call or e-mail the school office if you would like to speak to our SENDCo or Headteacher to find out more. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed; we would love to meet you.

PACE Academy Trust are an equal opportunities employer. We believe that diversity is a strength, and our aim is to make sure that PACE Academy Trust reflects our communities. We are actively working towards our organisation being a place where everyone can thrive and make their best contribution. We know that the more perspectives, voices, and experiences we can bring to our work, the better. If you share our values, we welcome your application.

Safeguarding Statement: New Valley Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; therefore successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
