Job Role: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Waste Collection Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate an RCV trade waste bin vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations safely and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an RCV trade waste bin vehicle
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations in a timely manner
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Follow all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Always adhere to safety protocols and procedures
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Valid HGV driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to drive long distances and work flexible hours as needed
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
