About the company: This position with New Touch Industries (NTI) is located in Bayswater where you will be hosted with a leading national company offering the best level of steel fabrication using a wide range of metals such as aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, copper & brass. Our dynamic, rapidly expanding business provides high quality services in metal laser cutting, bending/ folding, welding and fabrication, delivering customers with precise streamlined project management with minimal margin for error. This is achieved by our philosophy regarding the importance of teamwork and investing in staff. We pride ourselves in offering ‘Pay for schooling’ and ‘Promote from within’ policies, allowing our staff to grow and benefit from ongoing opportunities.
About the role:
- Setting and operating Trumpf lasers
- Setting up production plans and automation
- Unloading/loading materials
- Forklift Driving
- General stores and warehousing duties
- Picking/packing orders
- Quality inspections
- Housekeeping
A good level of fitness is also required as the role is physical and involves lifting.
Job Requirements:
- Sheet metal/Laser Operator experience is a must
- Be fit, healthy and reliable
- Have experience in a factory environment
- Competent in basic computer knowledge
- Good time management skills
- Able to work effectively autonomously or in a close knit team
- Role is primarily afternoon shift (3:00pm – 11:30pm), but must be flexible for day or night shift
- Good attention to detail
