We are currently a team of over 400 client facing consultants and 150 Head Office staff at Newton. We are looking for a bright and capable Group Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in our Head Office in Kingston Bagpuize, Oxfordshire. The finance function sits at the heart of the business, not only controlling and reporting financial performance as custodians of a £180m revenue / £50m profit business, but also constantly evolving and adapting to the business' growth aspirations.

Responsibilities

  • Run our monthly revenue recognition process
  • Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts across all group entities, including elimination of intercompany transactions
  • Assist with the embedding and configuration of new finance systems ensuring they are set up to cope with international expansion
  • Support the team with group transactions
  • Monitoring and forecasting group cashflow

The role will report to the Head of Finance Operations, however it will require regular interaction with the wider Finance & Commercial team to ensure priorities are aligned. You will be expected to proactively identify opportunities for improvement, challenge existing processes constructively, and contribute to embedding our new finance system to ensure its successful implementation.

Requirements

  • Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Have experience of working for a Group/International set of companies (consolidation reporting and foreign exchange)
  • Deal with a constantly changing environment and act on your own initiative
  • Empathise with others and have strong interpersonal skills
  • Adopt a framework and apply judgement in its execution
  • Have good IT skills, and be comfortable working in Microsoft Excel
  • Be organised and be able to prioritise when faced with competing demands
  • Work well in a team and enjoy communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Minimum 3 days a week in the office at Kingston Bagpuize
