Executive Assistant at Newton Property Management Ltd
Role:
Newton Property Management are seeking a Credit Controller. This role will report to the Credit Control Manager and will be part of a small but efficient and effective team. Newton Property Management was founded in 2001 and has grown organically, and through acquisition, to become one of Scotland’s biggest and best Property Management companies. Currently servicing over 40,000 properties in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness.
This role will be based in our Glasgow Head Office on Port Dundas Road. The role will be full time Monday to Friday covering 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure invoices are paid on time
- Follow debt collection procedures
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, procedures and processes
- Stay updated on credit control best practice
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Raising & requesting Notice of Potential Liabilities (NOPL’s) on Registers of Scotland (ROS)
- Recording NOPL’s and making sure these are kept up to date
- Calculating Direct Debit reviews and preparing the DD increase review letters
- Handling & follow up of the DD rejections
- Checking on landlord registration (LLR) for contact details for new developments
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in a fast-paced high volume credit control environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-discipline and motivation
- Ability to work on own initiative or part of a team
- Strong IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
