We are supporting a dynamic and rapidly growing charity who provide training and support to young adults with special educational needs to gain paid employment. They are recruiting a Head of Charity Operations to lead them through their exciting growth period.
THE CLIENT
The charity aims to train people with learning disabilities to become employable via supported internships within a year. Work is provided in their recently built café as well as paid work elsewhere, mainly within hospitality and retail. Their office is based in the Amersham area and they run the training café in Chorleywood which is open all year. The one-year internships lead to accredited qualifications for young adults who have a wide range of abilities.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent interpersonal, organisational and management skills to provide inspirational and strong leadership to the management, wider teams and interns. You will oversee three managers to ensure all aspects of their roles are achieved. You will also be responsible for all aspects of the charity operations including governance, financial reviews, trustee meetings and reports.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others as well as a track record of leading and building teams. Some previous experience within hospitality/catering, more specifically within an educational setting would be preferred but not essential. You will be a strategic thinker with strong people skills and the ability to manage complexities.
