Newton Colmore is working with an instrumentation manufacturer in Cambridge, and we are assisting them in their search for a senior simulation engineer. This is an exciting period of growth for this company, that works on several different product lines, from state-of-the-art airport scanning technology to top secret RADAR systems.
You will be aiming to build and test physics-based models at the edge of what’s possible.
What you will be doing:
- You will model and analyse complex systems using MATLAB/Simulink, working alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and designers.
- This isn’t incremental work - you’ll be applying deep engineering fundamentals to problems that directly impact people’s lives.
What you can bring:
- You will need to have strong domain knowledge of MATLAB and Simulink, ideally applied to systems engineering.
- This will need to include physics-based modelling and model-based systems engineering, with test bench development and code revision.
- You will need to be naturally curious, adaptable, and any knowledge of signal processing or Simulink HDL would be highly desirable.
