Mechanical Engineer - Robotics Design
Partnered with a start‑up biotech company in London, we are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join their growing systems development team. The company is developing a novel biotechnology product that combines complex detection technology and robotics. The role will involve designing robust mechanisms from the initial design phase through testing and preparation for manufacture.
Responsibilities
- Work with engineers and scientists to design, test, and refine robotic mechanisms for biotechnology applications.
- Lead the mechanical design process from concept to prototype, including detailed drawings, tolerances, and material selection.
- Collaborate on system integration, validation, and batch and scaled manufacturing preparation.
Qualifications
- Experience designing life‑safety or medical instruments that use mechatronics and robotics.
- Familiarity with certification, batch manufacture, and scaled production phases.
- Strong mechanical engineering background with systems design knowledge.
