One of the most forward-thinking scientific imaging development companies, based in Cambridge, are currently recruiting a senior mechanical design engineer who has developed complex electro-mechanical technologies using Solid Works.

You will be responsible for the 3D modelling, using Solid Works, of new electro-mechanical devices and the improvement of existing imaging devices.

So these projects are successful you will be working alongside leading electronics engineers, physicists, Embedded Engineers and Industrial Designers.

The success of these projects works around team work so you will need to have been an important part of successful complex product development teams in the past.

The people who really sand out in this company tend to be the ones who have a real passion for the work and not just view it as a job.

With this in mind if you have any engineering hobbies I suggest you detail it on your CV before applying.

As you will be a vital part of the development team you will need to have a proven track record, ideally you will have proof of this in the form of a portfolio or be able to fully describe successful projects you have worked on and the vital role you occupied on these projects.

You will work on the development of brand new complex electro-mechanical technologies within the scientific imaging sectors.

We do not expect you to have scientific imaging experience in the past.

Ideal sectors for your past work would be in highly complex areas such as sensors development, medical devices, oil & gas, telecommunication and other highly complex product fields.

The majority of your work will be performed using Solid Works so ideally you will be fully versed with the lasted versions.

As a Senior Mechancial Engineer we would expect that you could help junior members of staff with their Solid Works 3D modelling when needed.

Due to the group of people you will be working with it is expected that you would hold a 1st or 2:1 degree from a leading engineering university.

It is also vitally important that you have a number of years’ experience in industry.

When successful in this role you will be rewarded with an excellent salary, benefits package and career development.

If you are keen to join a company who aims to change the technology world I would suggest applying now, before your chance passes you by.
